If used with the apneABP monitor, CardioVisions software provides full ABPM Holter, SpO2 and actigraphy profile, but after assessing recorded data in their complexity, it quickly becomes clear that the software has much more to offer.

CardioVisions supports not only the diagnosis of hypertension and obstructive sleep apnea, but it also helps the differentiation between effort dyspnoea (shortness of breath, drowning, hampered respiration) complaints, as it makes the activity-induced blood oxygen desaturation episodes visible. As a result, the software can be used to assess the cardiac or pulmonary origin of the dyspnoea and to aid therapy prioritization.

A More Complex Picture of Cardio-Pulmonary Conditions

  1. SpO2 Monitoring
    ABPM Holter  SPO2

    SpO2 monitoring collects information about the patient’s oxygen saturation, the level of oxygen in the blood, the change of which may indicate obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS), asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

    Available data in the software: SpO2 overview, plethysmograph (beat-to-beat finger photoplethysmographic waveforms), SpO2 statistics with reflection time, amplitude ratio, pulse latency.

  2. ABPM Holter Monitoring

    ABPM Holter monitoring evaluates cardiovascular risks better, as more blood pressure measurements are taken during at least a 24-hour period, included nighttime.

    Available data in the software: blood pressure list (time of recordings, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, pulse), blood pressure hourly averages, blood pressure chart, blood pressure statistics (morning, daytime, nighttime and special periods, diurnal index or day/night index, hypertension load or hyperbaric impact, hypotensive time index or percent time depression and morning surge).

  3. Actigraphy

    Monitoring of physical activity supports the differentiation between the origin of breathing complaints. Actigraphy is helpful in differentiating early-morning apne-hypopnea episodes caused by sleep apnea from those caused by COPD and asthma.

  4. Pulse Waveform Analysis

    Brachial and finger pulse waveforms and brachial pulse transition times are stored for a better insight on arterial wall elasticity status.

CardioVisions, if used with apneABP, allows for a 27-hour monitoring period. If the patient has no breathing disorders, SpO2 and actigraphy monitoring can be disabled, and the apneABP monitor can be further used as a single ABPM Holter.
